Karmma & Kocktails: Reviews & Ratings
Hubby found this AMAZING Nepali place on yelp and wow!! Was everything delicious! We had the chicken fried rice, chicken chowmein, samosas. The chai tea was nothing like any other tea. The pistachio dessert is homemade! Kay(Kamina) was our server and she was so helpful and patient with the menu. All her recommendations were on point! We now have a place to go to when in Grapevine. Strawberry lemon drop was the best Inhad for $8. Happy hour was 4pm to 7pm! PS take another slice of pistachio dessert to go because we did.! Casual or dressy attire. Definitely coming back for dinner party!
First time eating Nepali food, but I've have Indian many times. There are a lot of similarities but the Momo Reloaded were the best dumplings I've had in my life. Absolutely incredible. We also tried the Garlic Naan and the Chef's Special Naan. Nice and thin, super flavorful. Have them bring them with the Momo sauce and the butter chicken sauces to dip in. Ana and Ashmi at the bar were super friendly and walked us through the menu with lots of good recommendations. They seriously made our whole experience delightful. I will absolutely come again. Food and service 11/10.
I was looking for a Nepali restaurant closer to my home and glad I found Karmma and Kocktails! Beautiful and inviting interior and does have TV's for the sports fans, but more upscale interior than may smaller Indian/ Nepali restaurants I've been to. I got several things to try and my excellent server recommendationed to Chicken 65, chicken tikka masala and chicken steamed Momo. Chicken 65 was spicy to your pallet a they do ask for level you want. The chicken tikka masala was excelLent a prepared with white and dark meat which was a delight since most of the time the dish only has white chicken breast. The curry was flavorful and awesome when combined with the garlic naan. The absolute bomb was the chicken Momo!! The playing of it was beautiful and the flavor and portions were more than adequate! The whole experience was great and I will be back for more!! Thank you Ms Prash for your 2nd to none service and attitude!
Saw the restaurant on yelp and figured we would give it a try. We have never had food from Nepal and it sure did not disappoint. First off our waitress Kay who is also the bartender was incredible. She gave us some recommendations and those were on point. They have a happy hour that starts at 4:00pm everyday and live music on Friday nights. The food was extremely tasty. The highlight was the Pistachio Cheesecake. It’s a three layer delicacy which I could eat every day. I would recommend anyone in the Grapevine area to drop in and try it out even if you just stop by for a drink.
I went to Karma & Koctails and the food felt like a mix of comfort and bold flavors. The lamb chops and Lamb Manchuria had bold taste, though a little salty. The Himalayan thali was the highlight naan so soft it felt like clouds, and lentil curry that carried deep, cozy flavors. The chowmein with lamb and chicken had that smoky stir-fry kick, and the momos were a joy to try. The butter tikka momos were creamy and rich, while the choila momos with the chef’s sauce brought a spicy spark that stayed with me. The drinks matched the season perfectly. The Gurkhas Old Fashioned was smooth with a twist, and the hot rum punch felt like warmth in a glass just right for winter. The place itself was cozy, with a vibe that made me want to linger. Even during busy hours the staff stayed friendly, though the food took a little longer to arrive. Still, the service felt welcoming. Altogether, the mix of food, drinks, and atmosphere made the evening memorable in its own way.
The soup dumplings had me in a chokehold, and the lamb had just the right amount of spice to keep me salivating and coming back for more. Kamana is amazing. Beautiful personality. Pay her! She’s deserving.
We made ours first visit here this week. We’ve been dying to try it based on reviews and it did not disappoint! The service was fantastic. Ana behind the bar was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did not steer us wrong. We tried the Samosa, Naan basket, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Lamb Vindaloo. All were amazing! The Vindaloo was as good as any you’ll find in London. Very spicy without over powering. The Masala was creamy and full of flavor. The Naan and Samosa could win awards. Finally, we were so happy to find they had live music by a young artist named Avis who has an amazing voice. P.S. The happy hour menu and prices are worth the trip by themselves.
Paneer Chilli and veg dumplings were alright. Malai Kofta with garlic naan though was OMG good. The Mango Bliss was recommended as refreshing. It was a bit sweet and fruity, which I liked. Ana G waitress did a good job. The live music was okay, too much Justin Bieber type of slow music. We hoped to hear some music in Hindi actually, which is why we came. The Playlist was better, with Lana Del Rey, Adel and Cigarettes After Sex.
